Vending Culture

Vending machines are a serious part of Tokyo culture, with the highest number per capita in the world! During my trip last spring, my travel buddy and I decided to make a game out of the ubiquitous machines, choosing different beverages at random and rating them with a photographed thumbs up or down...here are some of the results:

 

Calpis was one of our favorites...The humorous name might have had something to do with it, but either way, I was excited to see this awesome polka-dot redesign by Taku Satoh Design Office.
