The Dala horse is one of those things I've seen a million times, but never really knew what it represented. You know, the red wooden horse with the folksy design? Am I alone here? Well, Wikipedia tells me that it is a traditional carved and painted horse, which originated in the Swedish province of Dalarna. It was originally used as a toy for children, but has become a symbol of the region and all of Sweden. I love how Anna Viktoria has taken the traditional horse shape and created this super modern collection.
