Lauren Bordes

 

I'm lucky to have many supremely talented friends, but my friend Lauren is a real standout. I love how these paintings walk the line between figurative and abstract, and incorporate the most gorgeous saturated hues. I'm not an art critic, so I won't pretend to be. Besides painting she also plays piano, speaks French, retains just a hint of a Southern drawl, and is all around adorable. Oh, and she just started an architecture grad program at some school in Cambridge, MA. I forget what it's called, but I think it starts with an H. You probably never heard of it...   (we miss you, Lauren!)
