Here's to good things in 2012....
I'm a planner. I can't remember a year without a physical planner since middle school. I attempted to give it up and join the digital world when I first got my iphone last year, but I totally reverted back. I get a strange sense of satisfaction turning the page and seeing my week on paper. Or skimming back over the past month. Or jotting down something I'm really looking forward to...
Every year I search for the perfect solution. My planner is something I take with me everywhere, so it needs to be compact, sturdy, and of course aesthetically pleasing. For 2012, I discovered this so-called "Perfect Mini Planner" by Korean stationery company, Millimeter Milligram. It is available in the US from Poketo (I went for the lemon/pink diagonal split). How about you? Do you use a paper or digital planner?
Wishing everyone the best in the coming year. I'm looking forward to putting on a party dress and ringing in the new year with some of my most favorite people... Adieu 2011, Bienvenue 2012. xoxoxo.

Those are adorable! I'd love to buy one for myself but I am the opposite of you; I don't have the patience to update a planner everyday.
Anyway, I hope you have a great year and keep up the awesome blogging. :)
happy new year, emily!
i always use a paper planner. and i've bought them for the last 6 years or so at borders in the paperchase section... now there's no borders & thus i can't get my hands on my traditional paperchase planner (unless i go to england & an actual paperchase store - i wish). obviously i can just buy another brand but i'm so used to one type that it's a bigger deal to change than it should be (in terms of my sanity, haha).
Happy 2012, Julian! Thanks for reading!
Mallory-I feel you! Some other options:
The MET store has a planner that I used for a few years. It is the perfect compact size and even has a pencil! I'm not in love with the designs this year, but functionally they are the best: http://store.metmuseum.org/2012-calendars/tiffany-kensington-florals-and-iznik-tile-small-pocket-calendars-set/invt/80012856/
Also, my company, Galison, makes gorgeously designed planners (they are perpetual, so you fill in your own dates). I used one last year. I LOVE the designs, but the size is a little bit big for me, personally. Check them out here: http://www.galison.com/search.aspx?keywords=pocket+planner&SEARCH.x=0&SEARCH.y=0
I use my phone and a paper planner. I LOVE my little Manhattan Diary, with nyc maps and other awesome info - even a wine chart. I get a different color every year... silver this year :-)
Also - Lee's art store has some lovely planners.
I'm the same way, there's something so satisfying about physically writing things down (and crossing them off!). I usually use universal planners by millimeter/milligram or o-check. (this is my current one:)

Sally-I love o-check, too! Love the chevron.
