Happy Chanukah: half-way point!

The very first Hanukkah stamp (I realize my spelling is inconsistent, but go with me here) was released by the U.S. Postal Service in 1996 and was designed by Hannah Smotrich. The stamp was also co-issued by Israel, necessitating a second version to accommodate Hebrew, English, and Arabic type. Since then, two more designs have been released in 2004 and 2009, but I'd venture to say this original design is by leaps and bounds the strongest. Don't you agree? The colorful, graphic representation of the menorah is so joyful! (and has withstood the test of time). Happy half-way Chanukah!
