John Lennon Loved NYC...
Last Saturday would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday. To celebrate, we went to Central Park for a free screening of Lennonyc, a new documentary focusing on the last decade of Lennon's life (the 1970's), which was largely spent in New York City. I definitely learned a lot of new details and being out in the park on a lovely autumn evening was just perfect...probably the last chance for an outdoor movie this season.

Also, I have no idea how I missed this, but last year the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex in NYC (which unfortunately closed this past January), hosted an exhibit called "John Lennon, The NYC Years." To promote the opening, these strawberries were "planted" in the Strawberry Fields section of Central Park. I just love this...
John certainly lives on in the hearts and minds of New Yorkers and fans across the world...peace & love.
